A Constellation Of Doubt: Series 4, Episode 17
This experimental script is the outgrowth of David Kemper 's Unrealized Reality that told the story of how wormhole work through the use of "talking Heads". Each has the appearance of Crichton's friends, family and teachers changed to show moods and information. By the time of A Constellation of Doubt, John was obsessively watching a deeply disturbing interview show Pilot captured after Moya left Earth.
The script is full of dyspepsia and xenophobia but John can't turn away because he remembers hearing the word Katratzi -- the planet where he believes Aeryn was taken. John can't sleep, can't eat and is becoming more and more hysterical with worry.
Ben's emotional tracking during this episode that was filmed in pieces over several months was outstanding as he took John from depression almost to violence (especially the final scene between John and Sikozou).
In the end, he figures it out but like most of his life in the UTs, it isn't easy. John sells his soul to the devil: wormholes for Aeryn. He realizes he needs Scorpius to tell him what the twisted Sikozou /Stark meant and possibly to kill to get the information he needs. The bravado tag between Ben and Wayne is chilling and sad.
