Take An Action... Even A Small One Makes A Difference

The world seems frustrated at the moment how to get things done. I think people are generally overwhelmed.

Obviously, one way of motivating people to do something is to inform them... but even when it's in their best interest, most folks won't act on information. We are inundated daily with so much bad news at the moment that the vet issue gets pawned off into the general noise of the rest of the bad news. Freeze Frame is a way to touch people's hearts. Touching the heart is one of the powers of storytelling. But we need to get the movie made to help get the message out there... Perhaps people will act from the heart when they won't act on raw information.

I was watching an online ad about a group that raises money to drill wells for villages in Africa... The group had raised a million dollars in a few years; bringing water to thousands of people. Their campaign was slick, youthful, and looked like something from the pages of Vanity Fair... Madison Avenue, eat your heart out. And I felt nothing... just a disconnect and a sneaking suspicion that someone was building a career.  These are cynical times, indeed. Why wasn't I incensed by the poor living conditions in Africa? Instead, I felt manipulated. So "slick" doesn't work for me.
With Freeze Frame we can honestly tell the story of the soldier's ailment... the truth is on our side.

Maybe the answer is simple...
If you are a lawyer... take up a veteran's lawsuit.

  • If you are a politician... vote for veteran-friendly bills.
  • If you are a doctor... tend to a veteran's wounds.
  • If you are a cook... cook a veteran's meal.
  • If you are a cabbie... give a veteran a free ride.
  • If you are a storyteller... tell a veteran's tale.
  • If you are a blogger... blog the truth for vets.

One small deed at a time is the best I have this morning...
